The car pulled to a stop just at the gates to the school. The boot of the car slapped shut in frustration. There was a yell of annoyance from within the vehicle. “YEAH, WHATEVER. WE’LL TALK NEXT TIME I GET HOME!” She yelled back at the vehicle.

Vanya growled under her breath as she lugged her bags towards the gates. Thank whatever god, gods or whatever was out there that school was back. She probably would have snapped and punched her aunt again which would have ended with her staying with here twice as annoying sister.

Her only warning was the distinct sound of car doors opening and feet rushing towards her before she stumbled forwards and then back again under the attack of two small bodies. “What the-guys what... crap we talked already.” There were murmurs of disagreement and the two figures hugged her. “No... Seriously Lexi, Tyr ... let go please? I do need to go back to school for one thing. Another is Aunty Bernice is going to whine like a dog if you keep her from her dinner with her boyfriend ~”

“...You’ll write won’t you Vanny? Tyr an’ I promise we will write to you. ” Lexi cried looking at Vanya with a serious face. Tyr on the other hand looked up sadly. Vanya ruffled his hair and smiled gently down at him. “I promise I’ll write Lexi ~ you’ve got to promise to look out for Tyr for me while I’m in school okay?” She said softly and held out her pinkie finger. Lexi grinned and shook Vanya’s pinkie finger with her own. Lexi grabbed Tyr’s hand and proceeded to drag him back to the car. “Write soon Vanny!!”

Vanya smiled softly before looking back at the school gates. Oh joy, A Roommate, Dorm wars, Annoying people, Teachers and bloody classes. At least her aunt wouldn’t be around to dictate her every move. She smiled at the gates and looked back once to see her aunt’s car drive away with her two siblings sitting up waving at her through the rear window. She smiled and gave a light wave before walking towards the gates. “Here we go again. ~”
